Stokes, English Vernacular Script, ca 990–ca 1035, Vol. 2 (PhD Thesis, University of Cambridge, 2006)
This scribe wrote a large and very rough hand. He normally used Caroline letters except for round a, a hybrid r with Caroline hook but a full-length descender, and one example of round Insular d with a very short back (120r). Ascenders and descenders are both long and straight and lack decoration. Round c and e were used, and the upper branch of k turns up. Straight-limbed dotted y was used, as was x with a long south-west stroke.
