These glosses were written with a very thin pen and light ink. Ascenders are very long and usually have wedges but can lack decoration. Descenders are straight and are much shorter but can still be longer than minims. Both flat-topped and single-compartment point-topped a are found. A flat-topped and fairly wide a was used for æ, the hook of which is angular and the tongue straight and slightly rising. The back of d is short and angled up at about 50–60°. Round e was used, the tongue of which is straight and rising. The tongue of f is on the base-line but the descender is very short and the hook reachesup almost to ascender-height. Both Caroline and Insular g were used. The top of Insular g is flat, the mid-section is somewhat angular and hangs to the left of centre, and the tail is quite wide and almost closed by an upward hook at the tip. The shoulder of r is once quite rounded, once very angular, and once Caroline. Tall s was used initially and low s otherwise; tall s stands firmly on the base-line and has a small hook at ascender-height. No ð is found, although it could have been used for fyþerflowende. Bilinear round dotted y is found.
