The DigiPal project includes a wide range of content, all of which is Copyright © but some of which is available under 'open' licences. Please read the following carefully. Any enquiries should be addressed to digipal @ kcl.ac.uk. In all cases the DigiPal project should be cited (see How to Cite DigiPal).
DigiPal Data
Unless otherwise specified, the data in DigiPal: Digital Database and Resource for Palaeography, Manuscripts and Diplomatic by the DigiPal Project Team is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License. Permissions beyond the scope of this license may be available at http://www.digipal.eu/about/copyright-and-permissions/.
Exceptions to DigiPal Data
Some descriptions or other data are marked as coming from other sources; these are used with permission and are not released under the CC-BY licence above but remain the copyright of the respective original sources. They include but are not limited to the following:

Unless explicitly specified otherwise, all images are Copyright © of their respective owners. Users may not download, reproduce or distribute images from the DigiPal website but must obtain images from the original source, and must also obtain any licences or other written permission required by that source (e.g. the relevant library or archive). See further Acknowledgements and Image Rights. Please note that the DigiPal team does not have permission to distribute images of manuscripts or charters beyond this project and so no requests for this can be considered.
One exception to this is images which are included in blogs, news posts, documentation or other static pages on the website. Unless otherwise specified these are available under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License as for 'News, Blog Posts and Other Static Web Content' above.

The software behind this framework is available from GitHub. That which has been developed for the DigiPal framework is Copyright © the authors, and is licenced for use under GPL 3.0 [or whatever].
