Palaeography Training in London

Two upcoming classes on palaeography to be held at the Institute of English Studies in London have just come to my attention. One is very soon indeed, so if you're interested then be sure to sign up quickly. This is the information I have, reproduced verbatim from the IES:

LONDON PALAEOGRAPHY SUMMER SCHOOL
18 – 22 June 2012
The London Palaeography Summer School is a series of intensive courses in Palaeography and Diplomatic. Courses range from a half to two days duration and are given by experts in their respective fields from a wide range of institutions.

INSULAR MANUSCRIPTS MASTER CLASS
18 MAY 2012, 10.00-17.00
The Institute of English Studies will be holding a one-day master class on Insular Manuscripts on Friday 18th May. This course is run on behalf of the School of Advanced Study (SAS) and will cover:

  • Origins of insular manuscripts (Mark Stansbury)
  • Lindisfarne Gospels (Michelle Brown)
  • Book of Kells (Carol Farr)
  • Southumbrian Manuscripts (Michelle Brown)

All the courses are suitable for MA, MRes, MPhil and PhD students and are also open to professional and other participants.
