Stokes, English Vernacular Script, ca 990–ca 1035, Vol. 2 (PhD Thesis, University of Cambridge, 2006)
This gloss was written larger and more rougly than the other vernacular glosses. The script is somewhat cursive, varies in size, and has strokes which often do not join properly. Bilinear d was used, i has small approach-strokes and horizontal feet, and m has straight down-strokes and no feet. The back of e is fairly straight and upright but the letter is not horned; the tongue is horizontal and the hook low. Tall s was used, standing on the base-line.
