Stokes, English Vernacular Script, ca 990–ca 1035, Vol. 2 (PhD Thesis, University of Cambridge, 2006)
This gloss was written in a thin, somewhat spindly hand. The ascender is longer than minims and has a small wedge. Descenders are straight and about the length of minims. The a-component of æ is somewhat triangular, the back angled at about 80°, the tongue is high and rising, and the eye is squinting. Round c and e are found, and the tongue and eye of the latter are like those of æ. Low s is found, the descenders of which have wedges. The shoulders of n are somewhat angular, and the minims are straight. The top of i has a small approach-stroke and small horizontal foot.
