These words were written in a square arrangement, gretað under gyrnað and embe over gramm. The script is very heavy and is like G.451-4 in aspect. The letters can have small approach-strokes and can have horizontal feet, but they can also lack approach-strokes and wedges. Teardrop-shaped a was used, the back being fairly upright. The ascender of b is fairly short and has a small wedge. Horned and round e are both found, the latter being slightly backward-leaning; the hooks of both are quite angular, and the tongues high and rising. The top of g is flat and relatively wide; the mid-section is short, starts in the centre, is angled out out to the left, then turns quickly back to the right; and the tail curves around in a closed, fairly wide loop. The shoulders of m, n, and r are all fairly rounded. The descenders of r are straight. The back of ð is fairly long and curves over slightly to the left, the second example bending sharply left; the through-strokes are relatively high, and the second example is hooked down on the right.
