Stokes, English Vernacular Script, ca 990–ca 1035, Vol. 2 (PhD Thesis, University of Cambridge, 2006)

These glosses were written in a small hand with relatively straight descenders at about minim-length. Flat-topped a was used, as was e without a horn but sometimes with a relatively straight angled south-west quadrant. The tongue of f is angled up. The top of g is flat but relatively short, the mid-section starts to the right and is angular, and the tail is open and relatively wide. Tall s was used throughout. The top of 7 is short and flat, and the down-stroke is straight and vertical.
