Purpose and Main Duties
This is an opportunity to join our teaching team on the MA Renaissance Studies and Doctoral programme. You will design and deliver a module entitled ‘Introduction to Manuscripts and Palaeography’, delivered to MA, MPhil and Doctoral students working in the period roughly 1520-1700. The module will focus primarily on reading English hands from 1500-1650. You should be able to teach and assess topics including but not necessarily limited to: Contractions and Secretary Hand; Numerals and Money; Transcription Policies; Bibliography and Footnotes.
Your main responsibility will be preparation, teaching, administration and assessment of the module.
